At Boleirama we accept a variety of payment methods so you can choose the one that works best for you. This policy details accepted methods, approval times, and cancellation/refund rules.

1. Accepted payment methods

Processed via Shopify Payments (Stripe) or regional gateways. 3D Secure 2 authentication may be required for fraud prevention.

1.3 Buy Now, Pay Later (regional availability)

  • Klarna — 3 or 4 interest-free installments (EU, UK, US, AU)
  • Afterpay / Clearpay — 4 interest-free payments (US, UK, AU, NZ, CA)
  • Shop Pay Installments — 4 interest-free payments (US)
  • Affirm — financing options (US)

1.4 Bank transfer and local methods

  • Bank transfer (select regions)
  • PIX (Brazil — instant, often with additional discount)
  • iDEAL (Netherlands)
  • SOFORT (Germany, Austria)
  • Bancontact (Belgium)

2. Currency

The checkout displays prices in your detected local currency. The actual charge appears on your statement in the store's original currency — conversion is handled by your card issuer using their exchange rate. No hidden markups from us.

3. Payment approval timeline

For unapproved payments (insufficient funds, wrong data, fraud analysis), we notify you by email with instructions to retry.

4. Transaction security

4.1. No card data is stored on our servers. All payments are processed through PCI DSS Level 1 certified gateways with end-to-end encryption.

4.2. Transactions undergo automatic fraud analysis. High-risk orders may be blocked or require additional verification (ID document). For erroneous blocks, contact suporte@boleirama.com for manual review.

4.3. We never ask for your password, CVV, or banking credentials via email, WhatsApp, or phone.

5. Installment plans

5.1 Credit card installments (Brazil)

  • Up to 12x interest-free
  • Minimum per installment: R$ 20
  • Processing via issuing bank

5.2 Buy Now Pay Later (international)

Depending on your region:

  • Klarna: Pay in 3 or 4 installments, interest-free (subject to Klarna approval)
  • Afterpay / Clearpay: 4 installments every 2 weeks, interest-free
  • Shop Pay Installments: 4 payments, interest-free on purchases $50-$999.99
  • Affirm: Longer-term financing, interest may apply

Terms and eligibility determined by each provider.

6. Cancellation before shipping

To cancel an order before dispatch:

  1. Email suporte@boleirama.com with order number and reason (urgent!)
  2. If not yet shipped, we cancel and process a refund
  3. If already shipped, please await delivery and follow return procedure

    4. Response time: within 1 business day.

    7. Cancellation by the store

    Boleirama reserves the right to cancel orders in cases of:

    • Fraud detection or reasonable suspicion
    • Manifest pricing error (e.g., typo listing a product for a fraction of its value)
    • Stock rupture identified after checkout
    • Shipping to regions not served by available carriers

    In all cases, a full refund is processed per the timelines in Section 9.

    8. Right of withdrawal

    Consumers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within:

    • 14 days in EU/UK (per EU Consumer Rights Directive)
    • 30 days in US (our policy)
    • 7 days in Brazil (per CDC Art. 49)

    9. Refund timelines by method

    Important: credit card refund timelines are controlled by the issuing bank. Boleirama sends the refund within 2 business days of approval. From there, the bank's timeline applies.

    10. Chargebacks and disputes

    If you notice an unrecognized charge:

    1. Contact us first at suporte@boleirama.com — most cases are resolved faster directly than through the bank
    2. If you prefer to file a chargeback via your bank/card network, note that the process can take 30-90 days
    3. Boleirama cooperates fully with legitimate investigations, providing all necessary documentation

      4. Fraudulent chargebacks (disputing legitimate purchases that were delivered) may result in blacklisting and notification to credit bureaus.
